In honor of November being American Diabetes Awareness Month, this week’s “Service Saturday” feature is the American Diabetes Association & American Diabetes Association - Maryland
The American Diabetes Association is a United States-based nonprofit that seeks to educate the public about diabetes and help those affected by it. The American Diabetes Association leads the fight against the deadly consequences of diabetes and fight for those affected by diabetes. Their mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. They hope to achieve a life free of diabetes and all its burdens. Some of their work includes funding research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes, delivering services to hundreds of communities, and giving voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.
Today, diabetes causes more deaths than breast cancer and AIDS combined. Diabetes isn’t a disease—it’s an epidemic. The time to take action is now. We just need more people to join the fight. Volunteer with the American Diabetes Association and help them raise awareness. Donate to support research and fundraise with your community. Together, we can do this—we can find a cure and make millions of people’s lives so much better.
